Here are a few easy-to-do plant support ideas using both metal and wood:
Metal Tomato Cage:
Materials: Metal wire mesh or fencing, wire cutters, pliers.
Instructions:
Cut the metal wire mesh or fencing into a length of about 5 feet.
Shape it into a cylinder and connect the ends by twisting the wire together.
Push the cage into the ground around the tomato plant, providing support as it grows.
Wooden Teepee Trellis:
Materials: Four wooden stakes, twine or rope, hammer.
Instructions:
Hammer the four wooden stakes into the ground in a circular arrangement, leaving a gap between each stake.
Gather the tops of the stakes together and secure them with twine or rope, forming a teepee shape.
As the plants grow, train them to climb the stakes, using the twine or rope to secure them to the structure.
Metal Grid Panel:
Materials: Metal grid panel, wire cutters, zip ties or wire.
Instructions:
Cut the metal grid panel to the desired size using wire cutters.
Position it behind or next to the plants that require support.
Use zip ties or wire to attach the plants to the grid, allowing them to grow through the gaps for support.
Wooden Ladder Trellis:
Materials: Old wooden ladder, screws or nails, drill or hammer.
Instructions:
Position the ladder near the plants that need support.
Secure the ladder to a fence or wall using screws or nails.
Encourage the plants to climb the rungs of the ladder, tying them to the ladder as needed.
Metal Plant Rings:

Instructions:
Cut a length of metal wire and form it into a circle of the desired size.
Twist the ends together to secure the shape.
