The European Medicines Agency (EMA) has approved the use of the AstraZeneca / Oxford vaccine in the European Union for all people aged 18 and over, stating that the vaccine is also suitable for the elderly.

“The EMA recommended that conditional marketing authorization be granted for the vaccine against Covid-19 AstraZeneca (…) in persons from the age of 18 years.”
